Obtaining Permission to Excavate (damage) the Road for Receiving a Domestic Water Supply Connection from the National Water Supply & Drainage Board (NWS & DB)

Procedure

The request letter for road excavation issued by the NWS & DB should be forwarded to the nearest Executive Engineer’s Office of RDA between 8.30 a.m. – 4.15 p.m. during any working days. This letter should contain the details of road name, locations and extent of excavation which is required to establish to make a connection.

 

Charges to be made

The estimated cost prepared by the RDA for the reinstatement of the damages due to the proposed excavation is required to be paid to the RDA before granting permission. This cost will vary with the extent of damage due to road excavation.

 

Permission will be granted within 01 week from the receipt of the NWS & DB request letter. No permission will be granted for any road crossing across asphalted (carpeted) roads.
