General Public is hereby informed that the access road to the Kelani Bridge from Kandy Road will be closed for vehicles exceeding 3.5m height from 25th January 2020 for the construction of the proposed new Kelani Bridge. In purpose of regulating height restriction, a protective gantry will construct at that location.

Only light vehicles and buses coming to Colombo from Kandy Road are allowed to enter the Peliyagoda Interchange on the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway, as Alternate Road.

Containers & Lorries could use Colombo - Negombo Road (A3), as Alternate Road. Road users are requested to use Alternative Roads to minimize the inconvenience.
