| Obtaining a Recommendation when Registering Over-weight or Over-sized Vehicles | |||||||||||||||
| Qualifications | |||||||||||||||
| The approved sizes (length, width & height) and weights when registering a vehicle have been gazetted by gazette Circular No. 1847/32 on 2014/01/29 of Government of Sri Lanka.(English, Sinhala, Tamil) | |||||||||||||||
| When a vehicle is in excess of the approved sizes or weights the Commissioner of Motor Traffic will refer them to RDA to get a report from RDA. | |||||||||||||||
| Process of forwarding an Application | |||||||||||||||
| The Commissioner of motor traffic will issue a letter indicating the details of excess dimension/weight of the vehicle. This letter has to be submitted to RDA along with copy of the weight certificate. | |||||||||||||||
